Welcome to Glamours Edge Photography, where Portraits become art! I'm Ray Pawelczak from the town of Lancaster in beautiful Western New York. I first opened Glamours Edge in 2013 in preparation for my fast approaching retirement. Who would have guessed that it would come three years sooner than planned. Therefore, I'm now approaching my newest endeavor full bore.

       I've been a lifelong photographer. Even from the earliest days, I remember always having a camera with me. A little known fact , I opened my first credit card to purchase my first SLR while still in high school. I was probably one of the only people in high school with their own darkroom at home. Many years and camera's later, I'm still most comfortable with a full size camera in my hands. Back then, I shot Rock concerts of the era, many featuring the likes of Black Sabbath, and Aerosmith. I now focus more on Portraits, Glamour, and Boudoir

      After a four year stint in the United States Marine Corps, I came back and established a new career in the Automotive Service industry and Automotive Education. I am the staff photographer (15 yrs.) for the Ron Smith WNY Auto Competition. While I have always enjoyed shooting Cars and Motorcycles, my new venture is more people driven , and is in the genre of Portraits, Glamour and Boudoir. My Background in this genre came primarily from my years as a competitive  bodybuilder. This is where I became inspired by the beauty and form of the human body, and with lighting and posing being a primary factor in stage presentation.

      My philosophy for capturing photographs is to approach it as all things are beautiful, what can I do to bring out the very best in each person, place or thing. Then how can I take that and make it better. Make it a little edgier, put my own signature stamp on it.
